A LITTLE MORE

About Matthew

Having practiced primarily in the field of criminal defense for the past twelve years, Matthew C. Binninger is an experienced and dedicated advocate for the criminally accused. Nearly all of his work comes from the Superior Court of California and the Southern District of California.

From 2011-2019, Matt worked as a Trial Attorney for the Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. There, he handled hundreds of federal cases on behalf of the indigent.

Matt’s compassionate and tireless approach to advocacy led to numerous dismissals, charge bargains to lesser offenses, diversionary dispositions, and victories at trial and appeal.

In December of 2019, Matt incorporated his law office in Little Italy, specializing in federal criminal defense and personal injury law. He continues to represent the indigent in federal court through his work on the Criminal Justice Act panel of qualified attorneys.

Matt is not only an effective advocate, but he genuinely cares about helping his clients. He understands that being charged with a felony or a misdemeanor are serious matters that jeopardize one’s freedom, reputation, and future.

Knowing this, Matt strives to do everything in his power to help navigate his clients through trying times to achieve a successful outcome.

In addition to his work in the courtroom, Matt has previously coached trial teams and taught trial skills as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, California Western School of Law.
